1. Exterior Inspection
It is a must to have comprehensive exterior inspection of the hydraulic breaker and the main engine, to guarantee all the hydraulic connections are correct and fixed, and inspect whether the hydraulic breaker has blot looseness, oil leak, parts damaged, wear or omission. Inspect whether the side plate and the wear-resisting plate on the bottom have crack and wear. Operate the hydraulic breaker after confirming everything goes well.
2. Drill rod lubrication
After 2-hour work, the hydraulic breaker must have correct lubricating drill rod to prevent excessive wear between the drill rod and the inner and outer bush, and prevent fracture of the drill rod. Place the hydraulic breaker in the vertical position in lubrication. Make the drill rod stand up to the ground or rock, and press the piston to the drill rod. Suspending in the air may result in failure of lower oil seal during lubrication. Find the grease fitting at first in manual lubrication. The grease fitting under the hydraulic breaker, with corresponding mark. The grease fitting shall have a check ball to prevent leakage of lubricating grease. For the double-grease-fitting hydraulic breaker, the grease shall be hammered by a grease gun for about 10-15 times. For the single-grease-fitting hydraulic breaker, the grease shall be hammered by a grease gun for about 15-20 times. In automatic lubricating system, check connection of the grease pipe and grease fitting, to guarantee the storage of grease in the lubricating grease storage area or the lubricating grease cylinder is not lower than the required scale. If there is an obvious trace of lubricating grease around the drill rod on the bottom of the hydraulic breaker after operation, it shows that the hydraulic breaker has been fully lubricated.
3. Inspection of Inner and Outer bush and Drill Rod
During every week or after 50 working hours, dismantle the drill rod of the hydraulic breaker, to check wear between the drill rod and inner and outer bush. Correct support of the inner and outer bush for the drill rod is critical to prolonging service life of the internal parts of the hydraulic hammer, therefore, inspection of the drill rod and inner and outer bush is important in daily maintenance. Please refer to Operation and maintenance manual to learn correct wear limit of the hydraulic breaker. To inspect the spacing between the drill rod and the inner and outer bush and to inspect whether the drill rod cotterway has excessive wear, a proper method is to use a manual grinding wheel to remove all burrs or prominences of the drill rod cotterway, after dismantling and inspecting the drill rod, to inspect wear of the bush: taking the photo of real object in the video, if you need to change, please contact the dealer or agent of SLYM, and entrust it to for change or maintenance.
4. Nitrogen Inspection
In nitrogen filling or nspection, please do not stand in front of the drill rod in case of injury due to sudden popup of the drill rod. The nitrogen cylinder is filled with high-pressure gas, there special attention shall be paid in storage and use. It is prohibited to use other gases to replace nitrogen for filling.
Nitrogen Filling:
1) Place the hydraulic breaker before filling nitrogen.
2) Do not approach to the front of the drill rod in nitrogen filing because the drill rod may popup due to high pressure of nitrogen;
3) Before changing the main bolt or decomposer, please guarantee that nitrogen has been entirely exhausted.
Gas Filling in Back Head:
1) Connect the gas filling device with the nitrogen bottle and fasten them;
2) Dismantle the gas charging valve block and screw the gas filling device;
3) If there is no enough nitrogen, turn on the switch of the nitrogen bottle slowly until the pressure gage indicates the regulated value;
4) Adjust pressure slowly to the regulated value, and then close the nitrogen bottle. Open the nut on side of the pressure gage to discharge surplus nitrogen in the pipe, and dismantle the pressure gage.
5) Tighten the gas filling valve block;
Gas Filling in Energy Accumulator:
1) Connect the gas filling device with the nitrogen device and fasten them
2) Dismantle the end cap of the gas filling port in the upper of the energy accumulator.
3) Dismantle the nut from the side of the energy accumulator, to confirm the gas filling valve has been tightened.
4) Check whether O-shaped ring is installed in the lining, dismantle the plug and screw the lining.
5) After installing the lining in the gas filling device, loosen the gas filling valve.
6) Open the hand shank of the nitrogen bottle anti-clockwise slowly for gas filling.
7) Fill gas to the regulated value.
8) Screw the hand shank of the nitrogen bottle clockwise to close the nitrogen bottle.
9) Close the gas filling valve of the energy accumulator.
10) Loosen the exhaust valve of the gas filling device, to let out redundant nitrogen in the gas filling pipe.
11) Dismantle the gas filling hose, gas filling device and lining, and tighten the nut.
5. Storage of Hydraulic Hammer
After each shift, the hydraulic breaker shall be placed vertically. The drill rod shall stand up to the ground or other supporting faces, not be hung, which can guarantee that the plug is inside the hammer, to avoid pollution and rust.
No matter whether the hydraulic breaker is installed in the main engine, the hydraulic opening shall not be exposed in the external environment because pollutants can damage the main engine equipment and hydraulic breaker in startup.
If the hydraulic breaker is stored for a long term, take necessary measures to prevent rust and contamination. It is a must to block all the hydraulic ports, dismantle the drill rod and properly lubricate the drill rod and inner and outer bush. Place sleeper on the rear end of the hydraulic breaker. Fully release the gas in the cylinder. Push the piston into the cylinder from the front part. Cover a piece of waterproof cloth. Store it in dry environment or in the room.
